In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
We believe Jesus seeks a relationship with every young person irrespective of their backgrounds. At RAY we use a BB approach (belong and then believe), Youth from different walks of life are invited to explore and understand the Christian faith even if they could be having varying opinions about Jesus.
In many impoverished communities few churches have the knowledge or training to create ministry programs that engage children’s curiosity and interest. Because of that, we are always organizing youth and children ministry training tailored for young people, and also equipping training for leaders to help them in their mission to evangelize and raise the next generation of leaders for the nation and the church.
A focus on Christian discipleship means RAY is intentionally expanding and deepening their work with children, youth, and their support structures like; church ministry leaders, parents, and caregivers to help every young person grow in relationship with Jesus, so that he or she can then help others do the same.
We use a number of discipleship tools like “Alpha Course” and other youth tailored biblically rooted discipleship resources which can support young people to experience the transformative love of Christ.
The different discipleship topics are delivered within a very interactive session with the opportunities created for young people to ask questions without any fear or feeling of insensitivity.
What is so unique about our discipleship program is its flexibility to adopt in almost every societal setting; it can be conducted with schools, churches, community groups, with the prison inmates and elsewhere people can gather.
